I wasn’t sure what to expect from these since they didn’t specify the temperature to which they are heat resistant, but they are holding up nicely. I gave them 4 stars because I can’t hold pizza stones for very long without starting to feel the heat coming through. They work well, though and I really liked that they are solid black on the inside as well. The other mitts I was looking at had another color on the inside, and I didn’t like that.

I really like these, they’re great for normal to large sized hands and they don’t slip. After a few uses the fabric ripped away from the edging, so I’m disappointed in that part, otherwise great product.

Instructions said:” Wash before using”! I did. They shrank. Quite a bit. I have small hands and the “after wash” mitts are definitely smaller than when I took them out of the plastic bag they arrived in. The bias strip on both mitts came loose during the process. The fraying is noticeable. Moreover, with the edges fraying, they won’t last as long. White threads not visible before washing came through after being washed. I am not returning them because: A) I washed them and did not save the packaging; B) I need them and the flecks of silicone help some when holding hot pans and pots.
